JONESBORO, Ark. – Jonesboro Mayor Harold Perrin sat on a panel of speakers Wednesday at an “Idea Exchange” of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Perrin represented northeast Arkansas at the convention and sold attendees on the many reasons to do business in Jonesboro.
“We are focused on building the infrastructure and quality of life that make it easier for you to convince clients that Jonesboro is a market they should be in,” Perrin said.
He stressed that Jonesboro is in the midst of a billion-dollar investment in healthcare with two new hospital campuses and an osteopathic medical school and more than 1,000 acres in parks.
The convention is a trade event for the Arkansas shopping center industry.
Other speakers were Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce President Jim Fram, Northwest Arkansas Council COO Mike Harvey of Springdale, Monticello Economic Development Executive Director Nita McDaniel and Arkansas Economic Development Committee Executive Director Mike Preston.
