
JONESBORO, Ark. – 2017 is the 100th year of the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library and this Saturday, they’re celebrating.
The library plans to take you through the last 100 years in 25 year segments covering the history of the library and the community.
The first 25 years of our 100 years (1917-1942) will be covered in a special event on Saturday, February 4th at 2 p.m with guest speaker John Troutt Jr. You’ll hear about the history of our community during that time as well as information about the library.
The library will host a winter Genealogy Night Lock-In on Saturday, February 4th from 5 p.m.-10 p.m. At 6 p.m. there will be a round-table discussion about the genealogy collection.
There will also be experts on hand who can get you started with your genealogy research and help you if you are stuck.
