BONO, Ark. – A man found his trophy collection the target of criminals, a report showed on Tuesday.
Tuesday morning, Craighead County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to County Road 327 to respond to the call. There, a man said he had found his shop door open the afternoon prior. When he went inside, he discovered a thief had stolen four mounted deer.
They included a 16-point Mule deer mount, two 11-point whitetail mounts, and an 8-point whitetail mount. Several of the mounts were valued, each, at several thousand dollars, the report indicated, while the smaller were valued at several hundred.
Despite all sorts of items in the shop of value, the mounted animals were the only stolen items.
There were no signs of forced entry.
