JONESBORO, Ark. – Bill’s Fresh Market is known for its meat selection but two suspects are being sought for stuffing pounds of meat under their clothes and walking out of the store.

billslogoAbout 5:30 p.m. Thursday evening, Jonesboro police were sent to Bill’s Fresh Market, 4225 Stadium Boulevard in Jonesboro, to meet with a store manager. The manager said earlier in the day, he noticed the store was low on steaks. He went to check to see if they had sold them but once he realized they had not, he knew something was amiss.

The manager checked out surveillance video footage and that’s when he noticed two females fill their basket with steaks and then push the basket over to aisle two.

At that point, the store manager said he saw them both put all of the steaks underneath their clothes and walk out of the store without paying for them.

The stolen meats were valued at $100.

JPD is looking for the two women.
