JONESBORO, Ark. – A group of suspects are wanted for an early Monday pharmacy break-in.
Early Monday around 1:20 a.m., Jonesboro Police Department responded to Sue’s West End Pharmacy on West Nettleton Avenue in Jonesboro. An audible alarm attracted police to the scene. When JPD arrived, two suspects were seen running toward Flint Street near the Jonesboro Kindergarten Center. The suspects got away.
The front glass door to the pharmacy was shattered when officers walked in. Officer Kiandra McCain responded to the scene and reviewed security camera footage of the incident.
“On the video around 1:12am I observed three subjects standing in between the pharmacy and Medic One,” McCain noted. “One of the subjects, wearing all black and a yellow bandana on his face, went up to the door of the pharmacy and pulled out a crowbar and popped the lock off to of the door.”
McCain observed the other two suspects come to the door and join in with the first. One was wearing a gray and black hoodie and black sweats. The other subject was a black male wearing gray sweats, a black hoodie, and blue tennis shoes, the report said.
“All three of the subjects enter the store and go behind the cash register where the medicine is kept,” McCain continued in the report. “Two of the subjects go to the back shelf where the liquids are kept and taken an assortment of medication off the shelves and place them in two different bags. The third subject is seen walking through the other aisles with his flashlight. Two of the subject are then seen leaving the store and the third one follows them.”
A perimeter was set up to attempt to track the subjects but to no avail. The suspects also appeared to have gloves on and finger prints were not located, the report indicated. However, some footwear impressions were taken near Medic One and inside of the store.
