JONESBORO, Ark. – When payday rolls around, many are eyeing their bank accounts for that automatic deposit so many rely upon.
But a Jonesboro woman found two of those deposits missing and believes it may have happened after a breakup with her boyfriend.
The report was filed at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at Jonesboro Police Department, 1001 S. Caraway Road. The complainant said she was expecting two deposits from her job at Dollar General but the dollars were missing.
One deposit for $267.28 had already gone into a different account and another, $309.17, was scheduled to do the same.
The complainant believes her ex knew her security questions and employee information to be able to go online and change the bank account listed with her employer.
However, the alleged act could cost the suspect bigly. Financial identity fraud is a felony and this case, if occurring as described, would likely fall under that statute.
The suspect could also face a misdemeanor theft charges.
