Jonesboro's Wessel fights tonight for Bellator

JONESBORO, Ark. – The clock is counting down the hours until Mike Wessel returns to the cage to fight for one of the biggest organizations in the world.

Spike TV will host Bellator 168 tonight on both the cable channel and Wessel, who weighed in at 255.5 pounds Thursday, fights Frank Tate, who weighed 239.6 pounds.

The heavyweight bout is scheduled for broadcast on but may also be rebroadcast later on the main show, as often is done depending on time and highlights.

The Jonesboro fighter said he feels better than he ever has and is leaner and more cut than in his past fights. It is somewhat of a return for Wessel, who took several years off from the sport to regain his bearings.

Now, he’s back and said he is more ready than ever.

We spotlighted Mike Wessel’s return in an earlier story, check it out.
