WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. They say your vote counts and on Tuesday night in Lawrence County, that became more evident than ever.
In the Lawrence County School District, incumbent John Householder and challenger Brittany Farmer Schmidt competed over the position, with Schmidt edging out the victory, 229 to 227 votes.
In the election for the Sloan-Hendrix School District Board of Directors, Aaron Murphy won with 104 votes, to John Gregg Starnes’ 22 votes.
In the Hoxie School District, Jeff Worlow won with 165 votes, edging out Dennis Coggins, who received 57 votes and Sherry Moore, who netted 37 votes.
The Lawrence County Clerk’s Office provided these results.
