JONESBORO, Ark. – A horrible tragedy happened over the weekend on I-555 in Poinsett County.
At 6:12 p.m. Sunday, a 2000 Mercury passenger car was traveling northbound on I-555 when, according to the Arkansas State Police crash report, the right rear tire blew out.
The vehicle overcorrected, making contact with the cable barrier, causing the vehicle to flip, ejecting three passengers of the vehicle.
Marla Clements, 35, of Jonesboro, and a female child were tragically lost in the accident.
Justin Clements, 30, of West Memphis, according to the report, was injured along with another female child. They were taken to The Med in Memphis and Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, respectively.
