Lawrence County Judge hospitalized from wreck

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. – Lawrence County Judge Dale Freeman has been hospitalized from a traffic accident, Wednesday morning.

The accident happened near Cabot sometime this morning. One source described it as a “bad wreck,” while another called it a “serious accident.” NEA Report spoke to Freeman’s family, who said his neck was broke in the accident.

Freeman is currently being treated at Baptist Health, a Little Rock hospital. His daughter said he had been through emergency surgery already but he does not have internal bleeding.

He is in stable condition but Freeman has been in the intensive care unit all morning.

He may need an MRI or full-neck surgery tomorrow, family said, but they’re not sure and it can’t be done until then.

NEA Report will update this story with details as they emerge. Our thoughts are with Freeman and his family.
