Work continues on Black River Bridge thru Friday

RANDOLPH COUNTY (6-17) – Maintenance work requires an alternating lane closure on
the southbound U.S. Highway 67 Black River Bridge in Pocahontas, according to Arkansas
State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

The work will require alternating a single lane closure of the inside and outside
southbound lanes of the southbound bridge starting at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21 and
continuing through 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 24, weather permitting.

This work is done in preparation for detouring both north and southbound traffic onto the
southbound bridge after the July 4th holiday. All lanes will be open to traffic during the
holiday weekend.

Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work
