Lloyd Jones, 40, is again serving a 60-year sentence for meeting a 16-year-old girl online and strangling her to death, abusing the corpse, and also being in possession of child pornography.

He pleaded guilty in 2012 to the murder and other charges, according to KFSM.

During the sentencing, the victim’s mother told KFSM, “That’s what I’m thankful for, he can’t hurt another innocent bystander.”

However, Jones escaped prison Monday in Lee County and authorities led a manhunt to find the man, culminating in his capture just after 3 p.m. Thursday.
