LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — One lucky Arkansas player started the month with his biggest win yet.
Tracy V., a White County resident, won $50,000 playing $50,000 Stacked, a $20 instant game. He claimed his prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center on June 1.
Tracy was on his way home from work when he bought the winning ticket. He stopped by Higginson Food Mart, located at 3631 AR 367 in Searcy, and noticed the $50,000 Stacked scratch-off game for the first time.
“It was like a new ticket for me,” Tracy told lottery officials.
An occasional player, Tracy usually opts for games like Cash 4 or Millionaire for Life™. However, the $20 ticket caught his eye, and he decided to take a chance on the instant game. He scratched off his ticket while still in the convenience store, and to his surprise, the middle row held a $50,000 top prize.
“I got all excited,” Tracy laughed. “I’d never won that much before!”
The lucky winner rushed to share the good news with his wife, who was equally surprised. The pair claimed the $50,000 prize together the following Monday.
Forty-seven $50,000 top prizes remain on $50,000 Stacked.
