JONESBORO, Ark. — A Forrest City suspect already on parole is accused of leading Arkansas State Police on a high-speed pursuit through Jonesboro before running into a neighborhood with two handguns, according to an ASP incident report.
Raheem Tredone Lashun Garry, 28, of Forrest City, was arrested March 27, 2026, on allegations that include possession of firearms by certain persons, felony vehicular fleeing, fleeing on foot, tampering with physical evidence, reckless driving, criminal mischief, and misdemeanor marijuana possession.
According to the ASP report by Trooper Daniel Willey, the pursuit began at about 10:06 a.m. March 27, when the trooper attempted to stop a blue Kia on the Interstate 555 access road south of the 44-mile marker for an alleged window tint violation.
Instead of stopping, the vehicle entered Exit 44 and accelerated away, the report said.
Police said Garry then drove north on Harrisburg Road, east on Windover, and through the area of Race Street and Caraway Road, where he allegedly crossed into oncoming traffic to pass stopped vehicles at a traffic light.
The report said the suspect vehicle continued south on Caraway to Phillips Drive, crossed Red Wolf Boulevard through a red light, and then traveled onto Apache Drive and the access road, where speeds reached more than 123 mph.
The pursuit then continued onto Nettleton Avenue, Manila Street, Race Street, back to Nettleton, and again to the access road before the driver turned onto Willow Road, Hargis Drive, Saddlecrest Drive, and Glitterman Drive, according to the report.
At Glitterman Drive, the driver stopped in the roadway, got out, and ran into a residence before fleeing out the back door, police said.
Willey reported seeing a Black male running westbound with what appeared to be a bag over his shoulder. Troopers pursued him through backyards and over fences before apprehending him on Remington Drive.
During the foot chase, the suspect allegedly damaged a fence at Churchill Drive. Trooper Thomas reported seeing the suspect push over a gate, which was later found damaged on the ground, according to the report.
Police said Garry was taken to ASP Headquarters for an interview, where he was allegedly found in possession of suspected marijuana.
During an interview with Special Agent Tyler Ashcraft, Garry said the Kia, which belongs to his mother, had interior-facing cameras, according to the report. Investigators then obtained consent from the vehicle’s owner, Stephanie Garry, to retrieve the SD memory card from the vehicle after it had been towed.
After reviewing the footage, Ashcraft reported seeing Garry get out of the vehicle during the pursuit while carrying two handguns.
Police later recovered the firearms from the Glitterman Drive residence with assistance from Stephanie Garry, according to the report. Investigators said they seized a Glock 45 without a magazine and a Smith & Wesson M&P 9 Shield Plus with a magazine containing 12 rounds.
The guns were taken into evidence and submitted to the state crime lab for forensic testing, the report said.
In addition to the felony counts, Garry also faces allegations of driving left of center, improper window tint, speeding more than 15 mph over the limit, running a stop sign and running a red light.
Bail was set at $750,000 cash or surety, according to jail records. Jail records also show Garry is being held on a parole violation.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
