Suspect Arrested After Alleged Death Threats Violate No-Contact Order

JONESBORO, Ark. — A suspect has been arrested after police say he made death threats to a woman despite an active no-contact order.

According to a probable cause affidavit from the Jonesboro Police Department, a female resident reported Jan. 19, 2026, that Deandre Khalil Holmes, 30, threatened to locate and kill her.

Investigators said the suspect allegedly made multiple phone calls to the victim on Jan. 18. Call logs provided by the victim showed repeated contact, and officers confirmed the originating phone number belonged to Holmes.

Police noted the victim currently has an active no-contact order against Holmes.

Holmes was booked into Craighead County Detention Center on March 10, 2026, on a charge of violation of a no-contact order, a Class D felony. Jail records show outside warrants

Judge Tommy Fowler set Holmes’ bond at $35,000 cash only, citing failures to appear and a history of violating no-contact orders.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
