JONESBORO, Ark. — A Jonesboro suspect was arrested after police say she pointed a handgun at a woman during a confrontation outside her home.
According to a probable cause affidavit from the Jonesboro Police Department, officers responded March 9, 2026, to a report of an individual armed with a firearm on Inverness Run Drive.
When officers arrived, they spoke with the alleged victim, who said she and her husband had gone to the residence of Debbie Darlene Ring, 70, of Jonesboro, to retrieve tools and equipment following a home improvement job.
The alleged victim told officers Ring confronted her, produced a handgun and pointed it directly at her. The alleged victim said she attempted to de-escalate the situation by telling Ring she only wanted to speak with her.
According to the affidavit, Ring then replied, “Come inside, I’ve got something for you,” in a tone the alleged victim perceived as a threat.
Investigators later reviewed Ring’s security camera footage, which police said matched the details provided by the alleged victim.
Ring was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and first-degree terroristic threatening, both Class D felonies.
Judge Tommy Fowler set Ring’s bond at $35,000 cash or surety. Her next court date is scheduled for April 23.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
