Three Arrested After Drug Task Force Raids Two Brookhaven Road Homes

JONESBORO, Ark. — Three suspects were arrested after agents with the 2nd Judicial District Drug Task Force executed simultaneous search warrants at two neighboring homes on Brookhaven Road, where investigators reported finding large quantities of marijuana, ecstasy, cash and firearms.

Jarvis Jones, 35, of West Memphis, Berrie Donte Sanders, 37, of Jonesboro, and Quincy Cornell Sanders, 32, were taken into custody following the Feb. 26, 2026 operation at 1400 and 1401 Brookhaven Road.

According to the probable cause affidavit, agents executed the warrants at both residences simultaneously. Authorities reported the homes were frequently occupied by Quincy Sanders and Berrie Sanders.

When agents entered the residence at 1400 Brookhaven, they encountered three adults and three children inside. Investigators identified the primary resident as Shalonda Johnson.

Authorities reported that Quincy Sanders attempted to run from the hallway into a bedroom but was detained after being ordered to the ground.

During a search of the home, agents located three plastic baggies of marijuana, marijuana edible packages and plastic baggies of ecstasy in Johnson’s purse. Investigators also found a Glock 19 9mm handgun on the floor beside the bed.

Officers reported locating several empty plastic baggies commonly used for narcotics distribution, along with scales and packaging materials. Agents also found $7,949 in cash in the bedroom. The marijuana recovered from that room weighed about 60.2 grams, according to the affidavit.

In another bedroom, agents discovered a duffel bag containing 16 large vacuum-sealed bags of marijuana inside a gray tote. Investigators also located two backpack-style containers filled with marijuana along with scales, packaging materials, and cash. Authorities reported seizing $6,905 from that room.

Investigators reported that Berrie Sanders had $558 on his person during the search. The total amount of marijuana recovered from that bedroom was approximately 47 pounds.

At the second residence, 1401 Brookhaven Road, agents reported finding 125 grams of marijuana inside a metal trash can in Jarvis Jones’ bedroom, along with a scale and scoop. Officers also located a scale, grinder, plastic baggies, and an additional nine grams of marijuana elsewhere in the room.

Authorities additionally found 125 grams of marijuana inside a plastic bag in the back seat of a vehicle parked in the driveway that was registered to Berrie Sanders.

According to investigators, the homes back up to the YMCA property, now the Jonesboro Pool and Recreation Center, along with Optimist Park, and are within 1,000 feet of certified drug-free zones.

Jones and both Sanders suspects were arrested on charges including maintaining a drug premises, a Class B felony, possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance with purpose to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia, both Class D felonies.

Judge Tommy Fowler set bail for Jones at $10,000 cash or surety. Berrie Sanders’ bail was set at $150,000 cash or surety, with the judge noting he is currently on probation. Quincy Sanders has not yet had a probable cause hearing but was released on a temporary bond.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
