JONESBORO, Ark. — A suspect was arrested after police say he broke into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment and stole several items while she was away.
Kaseem Muhammad Annoor, 33, of Jonesboro, was arrested on suspicion of residential burglary, a Class B felony, and theft, a misdemeanor. Bail was set at $50,000 cash or surety. He is scheduled to return to court on April 23.
According to the Jonesboro Police Department, officers responded Feb. 6, 2026, to a reported burglary on Ferrell Street. The alleged victim told officers her ex-boyfriend, identified as Annoor, unlawfully entered her residence while she was away. She told police Annoor is not a resident and does not possess a key. The victim believed he used a card to bypass the secured bottom lock.
Officers reported the apartment appeared to have been ransacked. The living room couch was overturned, items were scattered throughout the apartment, and a mattress had been pulled off the bed frame. Police said a dog, a kennel, and a container were stolen from the residence.
The alleged victim also reported that her Kia had been moved from its original parking space to another area and that the key fob was missing. She told police this was not the first time Annoor had done something similar.
Police said neighbor surveillance footage showed Annoor approaching the apartment around 1:28 a.m. and again around 1:35 a.m. He was later seen walking away at about 1:37 a.m. carrying a container.
Investigators said the victim also provided text messages from Annoor in which he admitted to doing “something he probably shouldn’t have” and stated, “I didn’t do any damage to you or your apartment. Everything I touched can easily be put back.”
According to police, Annoor was scheduled to come to the department for an interview twice but did not appear either day. A warrant was issued Feb. 20, 2026, and he was arrested shortly afterward.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
