JONESBORO, Ark. — Two people were arrested after a parole search at a Jonesboro residence led to the discovery of more than 20 grams of suspected methamphetamine, according to police records.
According to a probable cause affidavit, on Feb. 7, 2026, officers with the Jonesboro Police Department made contact with Aubrey Brown at a residence on Breezewood Drive. Officers conducted a parole search due to Brown being on parole.
During the search, officers located Mercedes Allen asleep on Brown’s bed. Police reported finding a cellophane bag of suspected methamphetamine laying on the bedside near Allen.
Officers stated that inside Brown’s room they located a box containing a silver digital scale with white residue, as well as another bag of suspected methamphetamine. On the nightstand, officers reported locating multiple baggies of suspected marijuana weighing 14.5 grams and another digital scale with residue. Additional baggies were also found in the room.
According to the affidavit, the total weight of the suspected methamphetamine located during the search was 20.7 grams.
Both Brown and Allen were placed into custody and transported to the Craighead County Detention Center.
Mercedes Allen, 25, of West Memphis, was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine or cocaine with purpose to deliver greater than 10 grams but less than 200 grams, a Class A felony, possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance with purpose to deliver, and possession of drug paraphernalia, both Class D felonies. Her bail was set at $5,000. She is scheduled to appear in court on March 20.
Aubrey Brown, 36, of Jonesboro, was arrested on the same charges. His bail was set at $75,000. Brown is also being held on a parole violation. He is scheduled to appear in court on March 20.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
