18-Year-Old Arrested After Credit Cards Allegedly Photographed at Jonesboro Car Wash

JONESBORO, Ark. — An 18-year-old is facing multiple felony charges after police say debit and credit cards belonging to customers were photographed at a Jonesboro car wash earlier this month.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Jonesboro police officers responded at approximately 10:11 a.m. on Jan. 12, 2026, to Tommy’s Car Wash, located at 1707 Visions Ave., after management reported suspected theft involving customer payment cards.

Management told officers that an employee had been observed on camera taking pictures of customers’ debit and credit cards as they were used to pay for services. Officers were shown multiple instances on surveillance footage recorded on the same day.

Police identified the employee as Jordan Cheatum Shivers, who was working the cash register. The affidavit states Shivers could be seen taking a card from a customer, holding his cellphone close with the camera application open, and photographing both the front and back of the card.

Investigators reported that Shivers was seen taking images of seven different debit or credit cards. His phone was seized as evidence, and he was taken into custody without incident.

Shivers, 18, was arrested on seven counts of theft of property involving a credit or debit card, all Class D felonies.

Bail was set at $35,000 cash or surety. Shivers’ next court date is scheduled for Feb. 27.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
