CORNING, Ark. — A high-speed pursuit that began in Corning and crossed into Missouri ended in a rollover crash after Arkansas State Police successfully executed a tactical vehicle intervention, according to a police report.
According to Arkansas State Police, the incident occurred on Dec. 26, 2025, shortly after 9 p.m. Trooper Christian Underwood reported he was stationary on U.S. Highway 67 near Lee Drive when he observed a Ford F-150 traveling northbound at a high rate of speed without headlights activated. A marked Corning Police Department patrol unit was following closely behind with emergency lights and siren activated.
Trooper Underwood joined the pursuit and assumed the role of primary unit around 9:11 p.m. The pursuit continued northbound on U.S. Highway 67 at speeds reaching approximately 100 miles per hour. Traffic was described as light at the time, but investigators said the suspect vehicle was driven recklessly, operated without headlights, and crossed into opposing lanes of traffic multiple times.
Underwood reported attempting several tactical vehicle interventions, but the driver repeatedly mirrored his movements, preventing proper positioning. The pursuit continued into Missouri, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified to assist.
Near Neelyville, Missouri, an initial TVI attempt was unsuccessful. Trooper Underwood temporarily backed off to allow for the possible deployment of spike strips; however, before they could be set, the pursuit resumed. After the suspect turned onto Missouri State Highway 142, additional TVI attempts were made.
A fourth TVI was ultimately successful, causing the Ford F-150 to leave the roadway, roll onto its passenger side, strike a tree, and come to rest upright.
Trooper Underwood and Corning Police Officer Adam Holcomb approached the vehicle and gave verbal commands to the driver, identified as Robin Blackman, to show her hands. Police reported Blackman was unrestrained and had been thrown from the driver’s seat into the rear seat area during the rollover.
Due to the extensive damage and her position inside the vehicle, officers were unable to remove Blackman until the local fire department arrived with extrication equipment.
Blackman was transported by AirEvac to Saint Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro for treatment of suspected serious injuries. Police reported no damage to Arkansas State Police property during the incident.
Authorities said an arrest warrant will be sought in connection with the pursuit.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
