Greene County Suspect Charged With Rape, Held on $1 Million Bond

PARAGOULD, Ark. — A Greene County suspect is being held on a $1 million bond after being charged with rape in connection with an investigation involving a child under the age of 5.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Sebastian Haggard, 22, was arrested Jan. 4 and charged with rape, a Class Y felony.

The affidavit states that a forensic interview was conducted Dec. 31, 2025, at the Greene County Sheriff’s Office with the alleged victim. Information obtained during that interview led investigators to identify Haggard as a suspect.

Authorities executed a search warrant at Haggard’s residence in Greene County on Jan. 2. Investigators reported locating and seizing evidence that corroborated the child’s report.

Haggard was booked into the Greene County Detention Center on Jan. 4 and remains incarcerated as of this publication.

Bond was set at $1 million cash or surety by District Judge Curtis Hitt.

Due to the age of the alleged victim and the sensitive nature of the case, NEA Report is withholding specific details contained in the affidavit.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
