BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. — A late-night vehicle pursuit through Blytheville ended with two Tactical Vehicle Intervention maneuvers and two individuals in custody, according to an arrest report.
The incident occurred Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025, at approximately 11:35 p.m., when Trooper Brandon Bennett, nearing the end of his shift, overheard Blytheville Police Department radio traffic regarding a vehicle pursuit near his location.
Bennett responded to the area and joined the pursuit near the intersection of South Division Street and Hearn Street, positioning his patrol unit behind Blytheville Police Sgt. Jayden Archer. The suspect vehicle was traveling eastbound on Hearn Street at a high rate of speed.
Police reported the vehicle continued at high speeds through residential neighborhoods before entering a business district and traveling through an alleyway. The vehicle then turned south and traveled westbound on Chickasawba Street, reentering residential areas.
As the vehicle slowed while attempting to turn onto 21st Street, Bennett performed a Tactical Vehicle Intervention, briefly causing the driver to lose control. The driver regained control and continued northbound on Chickasawba Street, prompting Bennett to turn around and execute a second TVI, which ended the pursuit.
The driver, identified as Jakwon Logan, and a passenger, Kareem Reed, were taken into custody without further incident and turned over to Blytheville police.
According to jail records, Logan faces the following charges:
- Fleeing — felony (vehicle; substantial danger of death)
- Possession of a Schedule IV or Schedule V controlled substance, less than 28 grams (Class A misdemeanor)
- Carrying a weapon
- Criminal mischief in the first degree (damage $1,000 or less)
Bond for Logan was set at $50,000.
No information on charges was available about the passenger.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
