The police report released on Monday states that Detective Joe Robinson arrived on the scene and made his way through the parking lot to the building. Multiple people were outside, but none offered any information about the shooting, he said.
Officers found the victim, Dayvion Terell Sconiers, 21, of Marion, suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper middle chest area and to the left hip/buttock area. Officers rendered aid before he was transported to a hospital.
A witness and friend to the victim said they were standing in the parking lot when the shooting occurred. He told the detective they were “just standing” when someone started shooting. They ran south to where the victim was located.
