JONESBORO, Ark. — A man accused of trying to kick in the door of a Jonesboro apartment was arrested after officers said they found him nearby with blood on his face from a botched shaving attempt, along with two knives clipped to his pants.
On Oct. 25, 2025, officers were called to the 1200 block of South Main Street for a reported residential burglary in progress, according to a probable cause affidavit. The alleged victims told police that a man with a beard had kicked in their door but ran off when he saw people inside.
While investigating, officers saw a subject standing in the doorway of a neighboring apartment. After reviewing security camera footage, police identified him as the same person seen in the attempted break-in -Noah James Stallcup, 30.
Stallcup was wearing a black jacket and pants, but no shirt, the affidavit said. Officers reported he had blood on his face. They also noted he had recently shaved, but not very well. When questioned, Stallcup told police the blood came from shaving. Officers also noted he had two knives clipped to the front of his pants, which he placed on a nearby table when ordered.
Stallcup was arrested and taken to the Craighead County Detention Center. He faces charges of aggravated residential burglary, a Class Y felony; criminal attempt, a Class A felony; and misdemeanors for failure to appear. Jail records also show a mental health court violation.
District Judge Tommy Fowler set bail at $125,000 cash or surety and denied Stallcup’s request for a lower bond, citing his record. Stallcup also received a 30-day jail sentence in a separate misdemeanor case that must be served before he can bond out.
His next court date is Nov. 25.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
