Paragould Woman Accused of Filing False Police Report Arrested

PARAGOULD, Ark. — A Paragould woman is accused of fabricating a robbery while working as a pizza delivery driver, according to a probable cause affidavit released on Friday.

According to the affidavit, on Sept. 19, 2025, Kimberly Cole, 32, filed a police report with the Paragould Police Department, alleging that three individuals tried to rob her during a delivery. The affidavit says Cole told officers she was struck in the face with an object during the incident and reported being injured.

Detectives began investigating, reviewing video evidence, collecting statements, and conducting follow-up interviews. After waiving her Miranda rights in a later interview, police say Cole confessed that the robbery never occurred and admitted she had lied about the incident.

Cole was arrested and faces charges of filing a false report with a law enforcement agency, a Class D felony, and communicating a false alarm, a Class A misdemeanor.

Bail has not yet been set.

All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
