BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. — A Blytheville man has been arrested in connection with an overdose death Friday, according to the Blytheville Police Department.
Police said officers responded Sept. 19 to the 100 block of Dougan, where they found Adam Rocha, 34, of Blytheville, unresponsive and not breathing. Despite attempts by Pafford EMS, Rocha was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation by the Blytheville Criminal Investigations Division and the 2nd Judicial Drug Task Force led to the arrest of Bennie Wells, 33, of Blytheville. Wells is accused of aggravated death by delivery, an unclassified felony that carries a potential prison sentence of 20 to 60 years or life in prison.
He was booked into the Mississippi County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in Blytheville District Court on Sept. 22.
All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
