Earlier report (July 23, 2025):
Authorities are seen escorting Bricker in a video posted to elnuevodia.comSAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — A convicted sex offender who failed to appear for a probation revocation hearing earlier this month has been arrested in Puerto Rico.
Jonathan Enoch Bricker, 42, was taken into custody Wednesday, July 23, near the Veterans Hospital in Río Piedras, San Juan, according to El Nuevo Día, the island’s largest newspaper. Puerto Rico Police Bureau officials confirmed Bricker had been in the U.S. territory for about three weeks, the report said.
Inspector José Fontánez Feliciano, director of the Intelligence and Arrests Bureau, said officers with the Arrests and Extraditions Division located and arrested Bricker during a scheduled appointment at the VA facility.
Bricker, a former MMA fighter and level three sex offender, was originally convicted in 2019 of possessing and distributing child sexual abuse material. The conviction included depictions of victims as young as 3 years old, according to a state investigator’s affidavit. He received a five year prison sentence with a 10-year suspended sentence. He was released early on parole.
Since then, Bricker has been accused of violating the terms of his release. His record includes a felony conviction for failure to register as a sex offender, court-confirmed false statements to law enforcement about his contact with children, and multiple arrests, including one for domestic battery in September 2024.
In recent months, Bricker’s revocation proceedings have been delayed repeatedly, with filings by his attorney indicating he was undergoing inpatient mental health treatment at a VA hospital in Little Rock. However, prosecutors signaled growing frustration with the delays after discovering a TikTok account allegedly operated by Bricker. The account included vulgar and sexually explicit content, according to a viral Facebook post. Bricker is prohibited from having a social media presence. The Greene County case had been reset multiple times, most recently for trial on July 14.
Court records show Bricker was ordered to appear at 9 a.m. July 14, but he failed to respond or appear. At 3:48 p.m., Circuit Judge Melissa Richardson issued an order directing that Bricker be entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) with a nationwide extradition notation. Nine days later, he was apprehended in Puerto Rico.
Once Bricker is returned to Arkansas, he will face a Class C felony charge for failing to appear in circuit court.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
