HOXIE, Ark. — A probation and parole search resulted in possession with intent to deliver and other drug charges recently in Hoxie.
On May 22, 2025, the Hoxie Police Department was dispatched to the 200 block of NE Carolina Street at the request of Arkansas Probation and Parole, according to the probable cause affidavit.
Detective Rakoczy made contact with the officers at the scene, who said they had witnessed a soft black case containing a glass pipe with residue in the living room. Officers also located a brown glass case containing a black glass broken pipe and a clear glass broken pipe, along with a suspected marijuana grinder.
In the bedroom, officers located four plastic baggies containing a white crystal-like substance. Also located were scales, brownish colored pills wrapped in plastic, and capsules containing a brownish colored powder, also in plastic. Other items, including a pipe and a bong, were also found.
Detectives read Miranda rights to the subject of the search, Starla Lundry. She stated she didn’t know what they were talking about. A short time later, when asked, Lundry reportedly took responsibility for the items. She was handcuffed and arrested.
The four bags containing white crystal-like powder tested positive for methamphetamine. In total, 27 grams of meth was weighed by police.
Lundry faces charges that include possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, a Class A felony; possession of meth or cocaine greater than 10 grams, a Class B felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class D felony.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
