Woman Arrested in Fatal Hit-and-Run in Central Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — An arrest has been made in a fatal hit-and-run from central Arkansas, a release from Arkansas State Police said.

On Monday, March 31, 2025, the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office contacted Arkansas State Police (ASP) regarding a pedestrian fatality that was reported at about 8:45 p.m. near the intersection of Arch Street and Bailey Road in South Pulaski County.

On April 9, 2025, ASP Criminal Investigation Division (CID) Agents arrested Traci Caldwell, 43, charging her with Leaving the Scene of an Accident Involving Death.

The deceased was identified as Joshua Meredith, 32, from Little Rock. Meredith was found on the shoulder of the road with clothing and personal items scattered nearby.

During the investigation, CID Special Agents determined that Meredith had been struck by a vehicle that left the scene.
