HOXIE, Ark. – Hoxie police arrested a man Monday in connection with a package theft reported Thursday in the Last Chance area.
The Hoxie Police Department’s Officer Charles Adams responded on Feb. 20 to a reported package theft. The officer spoke with the victim and reviewed surveillance footage. With Captain Hill assisting, police began their investigation.
Authorities quickly identified a person of interest. Early Monday morning, Judge Alex Biggers authorized a warrant for the arrest of Mark Robinson.
With assistance from the Pocahontas Police Department, officers brought Robinson to the Hoxie PD for questioning. During a post-Miranda interview with Investigator Bristow and Officer Adams, Robinson allegedly made incriminating statements, according to police.
Mark Robinson, 26, was taken to the Lawrence County Detention Center and booked on charges including Theft of Property, Criminal Trespassing, and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.
The Hoxie Police Department expressed gratitude to the community for providing valuable information that contributed to the apprehension of the suspect in this porch piracy case.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
