Jonesboro Police Investigating Early Morning Shooting

JONESBORO, Ark. — Jonesboro police are investigating a shooting early Sunday near Evans Way and State Street that left two people injured.

The incident was reported to the E911 Dispatch Center at approximately 4:30 a.m., according to a release posted by the Jonesboro Police Department on Facebook. Officers responded to the scene and confirmed evidence of a shooting. Area hospitals were also notified to be on alert for potential victims.

Authorities stated that Ladontae Reginald Jones, 32, of Blytheville, and Crystal L. Thomas, 44, of Jonesboro, were both injured by gunfire and transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment.

No arrests have been made as of the latest update Sunday morning.
