Reward Offered for Information on 2023 Death of Woman in Jonesboro

JONESBORO, Ark. — A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the cause of death of Christie Taylor, who was found dead along a trailway last year.

On Nov. 14, 2023, Jonesboro Police Department officers were alerted to the discovery of a deceased individual on the Green Trail off Highland Drive. Responding officers identified the body as that of 52-year-old Taylor. The Coroner and detectives collected the body and evidence, which were sent to the State Crime Lab for further analysis and identification.

JPD’s Sally Smith said the medical examiner’s report was inconclusive. The crime lab was unable to determine the cause of death. Due to so many unknowns, police investigate as if a criminal act occurred. However, as of yet, authorities did not mention any specific evidence verifying foul play.

Taylor was last seen at approximately 3:40 p.m. on Oct. 21, 2023, on footage from the Real Time Intelligence Center’s cameras. She appeared near intersection cameras close to the Highland Drive trail entrance. No further sightings of Taylor have been identified on video since then.

Anyone with information is urged to contact JPD, referencing case #23-11024.
