MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The results of the autopsy by the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office on 50-year-old Rickey Joe Millsap of Mountain Home, whose body was found in Moccasin Creek at the Baxter County/Izard County line on August 15th, indicates that foul play was involved in his death, a press release from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office said on Wednesday.
The investigation into his death is proceeding as a homicide investigation.
The sheriff’s office and other area law enforcement agencies have been actively investigating the death since the body was discovered, authorities said. Investigators have obtained search warrants and collected forensic evidence.

Millsap had not been seen since August 9th, but he had not been reported as missing.
No other details were released.
Law enforcement agencies involved in the investigation are the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, Arkansas State Police, Mountain Home Police Department, and the Izard County Sheriff’s Office.
