JONESBORO, Ark. – A man is facing a felony charge after a police report alleged he repeatedly struck a pregnant victim Tuesday in Jonesboro.
The police report says the incident happened between 5:31 PM and 6:01 PM at the 1400-block of West Monroe in Jonesboro. She said they got into an argument over property and she walked outside and got into the UHaul truck. She said the suspect followed her outside and into the truck and was still yelling at her.
The victim then stated that was when he began punching her in the face and drug her out of the UHaul, continuing to punch her. The suspect then got in his car and left.
The victim is eight months pregnant with the suspect’s child, the report says.
Officers located the suspect and made a traffic stop for an improper turn.
Kaleb Valentine, 22, of Jonesboro, was arrested for felony third degree battery. On Wednesday, his bond was set at $35,000 cash/surety. The probable cause affidavit says the suspect is on probation and this is his third arrest in 2024.
