WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. – A homicide investigation is underway after the shooting death of a young man on Wednesday in West Memphis.
A release from the West Memphis Police Department said at approximately 2:15 PM on January 24, dispatch received a call saying a man had been shot in front of the 600-block of Weaver.
Officers found an unresponsive man lying next to a vehicle parked at the address. He was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. EMS was notified but the victim did not survive.
Bryson Dorsey, 24, of West Memphis, was identified as the victim.
Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division arrived on the scene to begin their preliminary investigation and process the scene, according to the release.
