JONESBORO, Ark. – Several victims of vehicle theft contacted police recently in Jonesboro to report their rides stolen.
One such incident occurred on December 1 in the 1700-block of West College Boulevard. Between 6:30 PM on November 30 and 9 PM on December 1, a suspect allegedly stole a vehicle from the residence, transporting it to Memphis. The stolen vehicle was a gray 2015 Kia Forte. Suspects, a 38-year-old white female and a 40-year-old black male, are identified but most of their information remains undisclosed.
The victim, speaking to NEA Report, expressed frustration on Tuesday, stating the vehicle was recovered in Memphis and had sustained significant damage.
“Just tell people to be careful,” The victim told a reporter. “They’re stealing Kia’s.”
Multiple other vehicle thefts were reported to JPD recently:
A white 2016 Kia Optima was taken overnight between December 2 and December 3 from the 2300-block of Greensboro Road.
A white 2017 Ford F650 SuperCrew 26-foot Uhaul Truck was reported stolen on December 1 from Uhaul at 1700 Red Wolf Boulevard in Jonesboro. The suspect, who rented the vehicle, failed to return it.
A gray 1984 Chevy Silverado was reported stolen on December 3 from B&B Auto Salvage, located at 4606 Kellers Chapel Road in Jonesboro, with the theft occurring the previous night.
A dark blue 2001 Yamaha motorcycle disappeared from the 1300-block of Daybreak Drive on November 22, as reported on December 4.
Lastly, a gray 2017 Nissan Sentra was reported stolen overnight between December 4 and December 5 from the 1000-block of Walnut Street. The vehicle, described as cluttered with a car seat in the back and a blue and white throw blanket featuring a video game controller design in the front seat, remains unaccounted for.
