Jonesboro Man Arrested for Shooting at Residence and Hiding Firearm

JONESBORO, Ark. – A 43-year-old Jonesboro man was arrested over the weekend for allegedly shooting at a residence and attempting to hide the firearm, according to the Jonesboro Police Department.

The incident occurred after 9 PM on August 19, near the intersection of Sunwood and Winston. Police responded to a “shots heard” call and discovered that a 34-year-old female victim’s residence had sustained damage from a bullet hole. Fortunately, the victim was not injured during the incident.

Authorities arrested Leroy Lowe around 10:33 PM and found a handgun on him at the time of the arrest. Lowe faces multiple charges, including:

  • Felony tampering with physical evidence
  • Misdemeanor charges for carrying a weapon, public intoxication, and criminal mischief
  • A city ordinance violation for discharging firearms within the city limits
