JPD: Homicide investigation underway following suspicious vehicle accident

An early morning vehicle accident has turned into a homicide investigation, JPD reported Sunday morning.

Around 5 AM Sunday, officers in Jonesboro responded to a motor vehicle accident at 111 Daybreak Drive, police said in a release. When officers arrived, they found a passenger car that had driven through a fence and ended up in a small wooded area south of the apartment complex.

Evidence on scene indicates foul play may have been involved, but police did not elaborate on that. Detectives have taken over the investigation.

The driver was identified as Brandon Wilson.

If you have any information about the “accident,” police ask you to call the Jonesboro Police Department. If your tip leads to an arrest of the suspect(s) involved in this crime, you could receive a reward from Crimestoppers of Jonesboro. Call 935-STOP.
