Alicia man faces charges including murder, abuse of corpse in death of his wife

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. – A 29-year-old Alicia man is being held on a half million dollar bond as he faces charges from authorities that include murder.

On August 12, 2020, a media release said Jaylane Joslin, 29 of Alicia, appeared in Lawrence County District Court for a probable cause hearing for the offenses of murder, abuse of a corpse, and tampering with evidence in the death of his wife, Kelsey Joslin, 24, of Alicia.

Jaylane Joslin’s bond was set at $500,000.00 cash.

Jaylane Joslin’s Plea and Arraignment is set for September 29, 2020 in the Lawrence County Circuit Court.

Kelsey’s body was sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for purposes of an autopsy to determine the manner and cause of death.

On Monday, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department requested the Arkansas State Police to join them in an investigation into the whereabouts of Kelsey after family members became concerned about her well-being.

Late Monday, Kelsey’s body was located on the property at 8 Lawrence Road 739, where she resided with the suspect.

  1. It wasn’t murder at all. Now to have the case reopened how dare the chick put drugs in his beer and how dare they do not look for the other guy who was in the house, they didn’t even test Joslin for gun residue or the gun for prints ….. Homeside yeah murder no way in living hell and he is rehabilitated leave his family and him alone. We are getting the case and many high profile lawyers in the country want to try all the dirty inside illegal work. How does a girl with over 4 felons get away with everything bad law officials in the family.
