Two Greene County men perish in separate accidents Monday

PARAGOULD, Ark. – Two young lives from Greene County tragically ended this week in separate traffic accidents reported by Arkansas State Police.

A young man from Paragould died after a traffic accident early Monday in southwest Arkansas, Arkansas State Police reported. Joseph S. Sessions, 21. of Paragould, passed away in the accident.

The report says he was driving a 2015 Ford F-150 east on State Highway 160 at the City of Bradley in Lafayette County, which is at the Louisiana border. At 12:48 AM, State Police report the vehicle traveled off of the eastbound side of the highway, striking a bridge railing. Then, the truck traveled down an embankment and collided with a tree before landing in a large body of water.

Weather conditions were clear and roads were dry at the time of the accident. No others were involved in the accident. Next of kin were notified by authorities.


A traffic accident Monday afternoon in rural Greene County claimed the life of a Lafe man. Timothy Wayne Clark Jr., 29, of Lafe, passed away in the crash.

State police reported he was driving a 2002 Chevy Silverado east on Highway 34. At 3:23 PM, just a short distance past the 3000-block, the vehicle lost control, leaving the north-side of the roadway, overturning, and colliding with a tree.

Weather conditions were clear with roads reported as dry, police noted. Next of kin were notified.
