NWS: Hazardous road conditions expected for Arkansas

The National Weather Service in Little Rock is urging caution with a wave of winter precipitation rolling through The Natural State Wednesday and Thursday.

Light snow and sleet are expected across parts of western, central and northern Arkansas today and into Thursday morning, the weather service said.

Roads may become slick.

Please use caution while driving.

The most accumulation is expected in northwest and north central Arkansas. However, meteorologists expanded the Winter Weather Advisory into NEA Tuesday night, with Sharp County now also included.

Forecasts show precipitation moving into Jonesboro area starting Wednesday night around 7 PM.
