JONESBORO, AR – By the summer of 2020 there will be a whole new meaning to “getting social” in Northeast Arkansas.
“The Social” is an exciting new restaurant/lounge/entertainment complex announced on Tuesday that will anchor the new Town Center at Greensborough Village. It is being developed by the owners of established Jonesboro mainstay restaurants JTown’s Grill and Munchy’s.

Designed at over 12,000 square feet, “The Social” will feature a full service restaurant, bar, lounge and a special “vintage” bowling feature; along with a second story meeting and party deck overlooking the Town Center at Greensborough Village. It will also feature a dozen loft-style apartments on the second level of the building.
“This is unlike any other food and entertainment concept in the entire region,” said Jeff Higgins. “We have traveled to various markets and have done a lot of research into these types of facilities around the country. We have taken the best ideas and incorporated a lot of our own into the concept and the design. This truly will be THE gathering place for food, fun and entertainment.”
“The Social” will be built at the terminus of Carnaby where it intersects with Chancery, serving as a focal point in Greensborough Village, the new 200-acre mixed-use development under construction on Highway 49 in northeast Jonesboro.
“We have been looking at this concept and specifically at Greensborough Village for a couple of years. We have been working with those guys for a long time to put this together, and when the Malco started construction of their new VIP theatre on the west end of the Town Center we knew it was time to get started,” Higgins said.
Higgins said they are anxious to get started. “We love the concept of Greensborough Village; and we love the concept of “The Social”. It’s a statement to our commitment to Jonesboro, Arkansas State University and all of Northeast Arkansas. We have had so many opportunities and requests to go to other markets and expand our JTown’s Grill concept or our Munchy’s concept; but our focus is on expanding our brand and our offerings right here in Jonesboro. This is home, and this is where we want to invest our money and our time and our creativity. Greensborough Village gives us the perfect opportunity to launch “The Social” in a way that we couldn’t do anywhere else.”
Construction is expected to start in the next 30-45 days.
