Victim’s name released in Wednesday’s shooting

JONESBORO, Ark. – On Wednesday, April 25, 2018 Officers with the Jonesboro Police Department responded to a call of shots fired. At approximately 8:15 pm Officers were called to the 800 block of South Caraway Road where they located a male subject that had suffered a serious injury by gunshot. The male subject, later identified as 20 year old Devontae Dewayne Fowler of Jonesboro, was struck by one of the shots and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital and is in critical condition.

Fowler’s condition is very serious and he is unconscious, police said.

Detectives processed the scene for evidence and worked to locate witnesses. At this time, no arrest has been made in connection to this shooting.
