Work on Highway 141 to force lane closures in Jonesboro

CRAIGHEAD COUNTY – Rehabilitation work to improve State Highway 141 (N. Main St. and Church St.) in Jonesboro will require lane closures, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) Officials.

Weather permitting; rehabilitation on State Highway 141, Main St. Railroad Overpass and Lost Creek Bridge, will require daily lane closures from Cate Ave. to Woodrow St. starting on Monday, April 9. These closures will be in place 24 hours a day until project completion, which is estimated as three weeks.

Additional lane closures will be present intermittently as resurfacing work is also performed on the roadways around these bridges, between Cate Ave. and County Road 714. These closures, when in place, will be from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. until work is complete. Traffic will be controlled with signage and traffic barrels.

Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
