JONESBORO, Ark. – A criminal went to great lengths just to get a new pair of shoes, a police report indicated in Jonesboro.
At about 4:25 a.m. Thursday morning, October 5, JPD Officer Trey Chism was dispatched to Stadium Place Apartments at 3719 Stadium Boulveard in Jonesboro, where one of the tenants had returned home from work to find someone had broken into his apartment. The break-in occurred sometime in the prior 12 hours, the report indicated.
The suspect used some type of prying tool to break the door open, although it was still functional, Chism reported. Throughout the apartment, he said several cabinets were opened and drawers appeared to have been gone through. However, the only thing stolen was a pair of black and red Air Jordan sneakers.

The sneakers were valued at $200, the report said. Also estimated at $200 was the damage done to the door.
The suspect(s) faces felony and misdemeanor charges for residential burglary and theft. If you have any idea who may have been responsible, contact Crimestoppers at 870-935-STOP. Tips can remain anonymous.
