JONESBORO, Ark. – While most looked forward to a Labor Day off from work, Jonesboro and Arkansas State University police worked a reported robbery call on Johnson Avenue in Jonesboro.
It was reported at the Church’s Chicken, which was completely dark by the time an NEA Reporter got to the scene – except for police nights nearby. On both sides of the chicken establishment, at College Corner apartments and on Russell Drive, officers had several units investigating in the area.
Officers were also at the next-door McDonald’s, which remained in operation as police with body armor and long-rifles interviewed possible witnesses in the front of the Golden Arches.
A reader said someone observed an individually in handcuffs but there was no confirmation of this first-hand.
