
JONESBORO, Ark. – Some $12,000 worth of televisions were stolen from a set of unoccupied apartments in Jonesboro in the last three weeks.
The JPD incident report was taken on Friday, August 18, when at 9:44 a.m., Officers Kelsey Chism and Stephen Eaton were dispatched to 2508 East Johnson Avenue to meet with Zimmer Development Company staff about the theft. Police arrived and spoke with a representative who said 24 televisions had been stolen from 24 separate unoccupied apartment units in buildings J and K. The representative said the televisions were installed approximately 2 weeks ago but he noticed they were missing on Friday.
The 24 TVs were described as Insignia Roku 43 inch Smart TV’s. All TV’s had remotes, CAT 5 cables, and RJ6 Coax cables attached. The TV’s, remotes, and cables were valued at $500 each.
No video cameras were available. The man also said workers had been in each apartment since the TVs were installed. The theft is believed to have happened between July 24 and August 18.
The suspects could face felony theft and residential burglary charges.
