Two killed in Saturday wreck in Sharp County

HARDY, Ark. – A tragic accident on U.S. 63 claimed two lives Saturday afternoon south of Hardy.

The accident happened at 12:43 p.m., the Arkansas State Police crash report said. A 1995 Harley Davidson Motorcycle, driven by Laughingbear Michaud, 59, of Paragould, was traveling northbound on U.S. 63 in Sharp County, south of Hardy, when it crossed the center line into the southbound flow of traffic, Cpl. Phillip Roark reported. It collided with a 2017 Toyota 4-Runner. The crash killed Michaud and his passenger, Kathy Michaud, 62. 

A 1990 Harley Davidson, driven by David Clark, 52, of Paragould, struck the Michaud’s bike after the initial wreck, causing him to wreck as well. Clark was taken to The Regional Medical Center in Memphis.

Next of kin were notified, the report said.

Clear weather and dry roads were reported at the time of the accident.

  1. SO Sorry for your loss, I just lost my nephew who was traveling to florida from missouri and was killed saturday in bono , ark. in his truck. He crossed the center line and was killed in a headon collision, the other driver was also killed, its sad.
