Burglary suspect allegedly threatens to kill her victims

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – A woman is accused of burglarizing home owners and then threatening to murder them in front of police.

The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office Release said authorities arrested Rashel Katrina Farnam, 30, of rural Mountain Home on Saturday, June 24th, following an investigation into a burglary that occurred at a residence on Old Military Road.

The home owners reported their residence had been broken into and several articles stolen. Entry had been made through a sliding back door. The stolen articles included several firearms, jewelry, and other items. The value of these items is still being determined. Farnham was named as a potential suspect in the burglary.

Deputies began searching for Farnham, and she was located and detained later in the afternoon Saturday. She was brought to the criminal investigation division to be questioned about the crime. Additional evidence had been developed during the day that linked the female suspect to the burglary. Farnham was uncooperative and made threats in the presence of investigators that she was going to kill the victims, the press release said.

She was taken to the Detention Center and incarcerated on charges of:

  • Residential Burglary – Felony
  • Theft of Property – Felony
  • Terroristic Threatening – Felony

Farnham is being held in lieu of $100,000 bond and will appear in the Baxter Circuit Court to answer on July 6th.
